Sanatorium «Farap»
In order to protect the health of the people and increase the life expectancy, sanatoriums, health care centers, hospitals are built and put into use. One of such recreation and health centers is "Farap" sanatorium. The Farap sanatorium is located 20 kilometers northwest of the city of Turkmenabat, Lebap region, on the right bank of the Amyderya River in the village of Goygala, Hanoba settlement, Charjev district. Serving for the benefit of the people since 1985, on July 21, 2010, the appearance of the sanatorium was updated by constructing a new building. Currently serving the people, the new building consists of 3 floors and has 250 beds.
In 1958, a geological research expedition discovered three wells with mineral water 900 meters deep. The main healing agent of wells belongs to the sulfate-chloride-sodium group, determined by mineralization. In terms of impact, well waters belong to the group of groundwaters, determined by their ionic composition and mineralization, sulfate-chloride, slightly alkaline, subthermal, containing a small amount of hydrogen sulfide. The temperature of the healing water of this natural mineral spring is 39 degrees Celsius, and it contains more than 32 chemical elements from the D. I. Mendeleev's periodic table, i.e. hydrogen sulfide, iodine, bromine, boron, as well as trace elements such as barium, magnesium, nitrogen, sodium sulfate, sodium bicarbonate.
The Farap sanatorium includes diagnostic, therapeutic and mineral hydrotherapy departments. There are treatment rooms with gastrointestinal procedures, bile lavage, inhalations, physiotherapy, volcanic mud and Mollagara mud. The sanatorium treats diseases of the gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, nervous, skin, musculoskeletal, endocrine, gynecological, allergic and respiratory systems.
A modern X-ray machine in the X-ray room of the diagnostic department of the sanatorium allows you to accurately diagnose diseases of internal organs located in the chest and abdominal cavity, injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The high-quality X-ray machine installed in the department is widely used to diagnose diseases of the oral cavity, bones and teeth.
Using an endoscope in the endoscopy room of the sanatorium, you can conduct high-precision studies of the upper parts of the digestive system, namely the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. In addition, this device has the ability to remove foreign bodies located in the upper parts of the digestive system, take test material from morphological formations in various states, and cleanse the stomach cavity with healing mineral water.
The ultrasound examination machine in the ultrasound examination room helps to check the liver, gall bladder, kidney, stomach, thyroid gland, fallopian tubes, pregnancy and detect their abnormalities in time. This prevents diseases that are detected in time and prevent them from becoming chronic.
